The Delta variant of COVID-19 is causing a surge in cases in Michigan and across the country. Understanding that many individuals, employers, and organizational leaders may be concerned about the health and safety of their communities in this shifting environment, we invite you to learn the latest from University of Michigan School of Public Health experts.
Emily Martin, Ph.D., M.P.H., and Marisa Eisenberg, Ph.D., M.S., epidemiologists who have helped develop a series of tools to track COVID-19 spread and inform public health leaders in Michigan, will:
- Discuss current disease levels and trends, the impact of variant spread, and what to expect this fall.
- Provide a tutorial on how to use MI Safe Start Map, a public dashboard that visually illustrates up-to-date COVID-19 risk levels of Michigan regions and counties. The dashboard now features CDC transmission levels to help K-12 schools follow CDC guidance and make data-informed decisions as the pandemic evolves.
Michael Rubyan, Ph.D., clinical assistant professor of health management & policy, will serve as moderator.
