RISE Guiding Framework for Assessing Health Science Education Innovation
The Health Sciences Education (HSE) Innovation Framework has been used to assess education innovation ideas and individuals’ propensity for innovation. This framework is based on existing literature and input from HSE faculty, staff, and learners.

RISE Health Sciences Education Innovation Competencies
The RISE Innovation Competencies were determined based on a thorough review of the literature and refined in collaboration with our RISE Advisory Council members. They have been used to guide funding decisions, develop assessment tools, and monitors the longitudinal innovation development of members of our Community of Practice.

RISE Health Sciences Education Innovation Culture Survey
This 21-item Innovation Culture Survey is based in evidence found in the literature and vetted by members of a core team responsible for the innovation initiative. The survey items seek to better understand the degree to which our organization is: 1) cultivating an education innovation culture that inspires collaboration and creativity; 2) supporting a culture of education innovation with necessary resources; 3) promoting education innovation with intelligent risk-taking and dissemination of new information; and 4) achieving education innovation by deconstructing barriers and translating findings into practice.

RISE Health Sciences Education Innovation 360
Our RISE Innovation 360 assessment provides data on the innovation competencies and offers constructive feedback for professional growth from people (peers, current or former colleagues, trainees, etc.) and insights on strengths and areas for innovation development. Data collected from this assessment is used to track longitudinal competency development among our community.

RISE Health Sciences Education Innovation Theory of Change
An Innovation Theory of Change (ToC) can help describe how and why an education innovation is expected to lead to intended impact. Using ToC to design a conceptual blueprint for change can help ensure innovation activities map to all expected outcomes.
